I decide how fast you move up.

01

This is for you if

You're sick of being the skinny guy.

You train, but you're not making any progress, and you're fed up of feeling stuck.

You stick to one corner with the dumbbells, stretch your rests and leave after thirty minutes.

You'll do what the plan says, and ask questions instead of arguing with it.

02

It's not for you if

You won't change your plan.

You won't do a morning routine.

You think you already eat well and won't change your diet.

You're difficult for the sake of it.

Any one of those is a no.

03

How the ladder works

The baseline

Four non-negotiables: no headphones in the gym, eye contact and a smile, saying good morning, and your morning routine.

Level 1: start initiating

  • Introduce yourself to 3 people you don't know that week.
  • Have a 2 to 3 minute conversation with someone you don't normally speak to.
  • Ask a stranger a genuine question rather than simply making small talk.
  • Give 3 genuine compliments to strangers that week.

Every quest works the same way. Rate how uncomfortable it feels out of 10. Do it within 7 days. Answer four questions afterwards, then rate your confidence before and after.

Why I do this

01

I used to hate looking in the mirror.

02

Every weekend I drank for the confidence.

03

One night out went on until 10am. Afterwards a friend told me we needed to stop drinking so much and start going to the gym.

04

Didn't really get a choice. He just dragged me to the gym. I stuck to the machines and kept checking if anyone was watching.

05

I built muscle, but the things that built my confidence happened outside the gym. Now I'm the friend who drags you in.

05

What you get

30 days, free.

30 days on my Confidence Quest Ladder.

At the end we talk about what comes next.

I coach you through every quest.

06

The rules

01

You have to initiate it.

02

You can't use someone you already know.

03

It doesn't matter how the conversation goes.

04

You only get the win by taking action.

05

You get 7 days for each quest.

06

Break the rules and you're out.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The 30 days cost you nothing. At the end we talk about whether coaching is your next step.

I can't train without music. Do I really have to lose the headphones?

Yes. It's a non-negotiable, and it's one I started doing when my confidence was low. People are more likely to ask the guy with no headphones on for a spot.

What if they say no?

It doesn't matter how the conversation goes. You only get the win by taking action.

Is this a bodybuilding programme?

No. You don't need to build your entire life around bodybuilding. You need a body that makes you feel good and the confidence to actually go and live your life.
